VANCOMYCIN RESISTANT ENTEROCOCCUS (REVIEW)
In Russian
Papers data about the role of Vancomycin-resistant enterococcus in
appearing of nosocomial infection are generalized. The mechanisms of
resistance formation to glycopeptidal antibiotics are described. The
necessity of microbiological monitoring of vancomycin resistance of
enterococcus conducting is grounded.

PATHOGENIC POTENTIAL OF RAHNELLA AQUATILIS: THE STUDY OF PATHOGENS
FACTORS BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR RAHNELLA ABILITY TO COLONIZE SUSCEPTIBLE
TISSUES OF HOST ORGANISM
In Ukrainian
In 24 strains of
R. aquatilis,
there were revealed
pathogens factors which provide these microorganisms with potential to
colonize susceptible tissues of host organism: high adhesive activity;
ability to produce extracellular metabolites having bacteriocinic and
repellent activity to representatives of indigenic microflora of human
intestine; antilysozyme activity.
R. aquatilis
strains showed low level
of proteinase and neuraminidase activity and did not produce lecithinase.
Thermoregulation effects on intensity action of
R. aquatilis
pathogens factors.

IDENTIFICATION
STRAINS OF YERSINIA SPP. AND TESTING OF RESISTANCE
In Ukrainian
The species identification of freshly isolated strains was performed
with the help of biochemical testing (the total number of strains was
68) also the sensitivity of this strains to antibiotics was researched.
95,2% of strains which were researched were resistant to ampicilline,
75,8 % – to chloramphenicol, 59,7 % – to tetracycline, 98,4 – 100,0% of
them were sensitive to ciprofloxacine, cephalosporins, aminoglicozids,
imipenem.

STUDY
OF THE MICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS SPECIALITIES OF THE WOUNDED EXUDATE AFTER
OF LAPAROSCOPIC AND LAPAROTOMIC OPERATIONS IN BILIARIC TRACTS
Microbial compositions of the wounded exudate, which from patients, was
studied, after laparoscopy and laparotomy surgical interferences in
biliaric tracts. It was discovered, that, in comparison with laparotomic
operations, after laparoscopic cholecystectomy in the wounded exudate
during the first day after operacions the maintenance of E.coli and
asporogenic anaerobic bacteries, represented Bacteroides spp., was
increased.

DISCOVERY OF GENETIC POLYMORPHISM OF C. DIPHTHERIAE MUSEUM CULTURES IN
POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION WITH ARBITRARY PRIMERS
In Russian
The 12 C. diphtheriae museum cultures were investigated by
polymerase chain reaction with arbitrary primer № 45. These cultures
were isolated in 1954-1959 in Moscow and in 1991 in Kharkov from the
patients with diphtheria and the bacilli carriers. The most typical
amplicon profiles the museum cultures were determined. The level of
genetic similarity of the museum cultures, which manifests by
coincidence of the amplicon profiles, was determined too. This
information will allow supplement the certificates of the museum
cultures and creation of the data bank, which contains information about
of the pathogen's genome circulating in various regions and different
epidemic process intensity.

SCREENING OF MICROBIAL ORIGIN PREPARATIONS WITH POTENTIAL ADJUVANT
PROPERTIES ACCORDING TO THEIR INFLUENCE UPON PHAGOCYTIC ACTIVITY
IN VITRO
In Ukrainian
Undertaken study is devoted to search of effective microbial origin
adjuvants for development immunogenic oral vaccines against diphtheria.
It’s investigated influence of filtrates of microbial cultures prepared
from strains of Corynebacterium and Lactobacillus spp. upon phagocytic
activity of human’s and animal neutrophilic leukocytes in vitro.
Filtrates prepared from C. pseudodiphtheriticum and L. plantarum
appeared as the most perspective ones according to investigated indices
of phagocytosis.

SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE ACTIVITY AND ENZYMATICALLY ACTIVE CERULOPLASMIN
CONTENT IN BLOOD SERUM OF DIFFERENT AGE RATS IN CONDITIONS OF
ADT–ANATOXIN IMMUNIZATION
In Ukrainian
Superoxide dismutase activity and enzymatically active ceruloplasmin
content in blood serum of 1-, 3-, 12-, 24- and 32–month old control male
Wistar rats, and dynamics of change of these parameters in 3 – and 20 –
month old rats during the forming of antitoxic immunity to diphtheria
and tetanus anatoxins under immunization by ADT –vaccine were
investigated. The activity of enzymes utilizing superoxide radicals
characterizes by age peculiarities both before immunization and in
dynamics of immune response to vaccination.
